Annabelle Comes Home (2019)

Unread post by Krappy » 1 year ago

AKA Annabelle 3

Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her “safely” behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest’s holy blessing. But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target—the Warrens’ ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends.

Previously had a July 3rd 2019 release.
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprises their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren, but this marks the first time that the duo will appear in a spinoff. Until now they’ve only appeared in The Conjuring movies.
Mckenna Grace plays “Judy, the Warrens’ young daughter who becomes a target of the demonic doll, Annabelle.”
Gary Dauberman revealed some story details, saying: “It really picks up with the Warrens bringing Annabelle to the place where it can really no longer wreak havoc, which is their artifact room. But, of course, it turns out she can also wreak havoc there.” Producer James Wan added… “It’s basically Night At The Museum with Annabelle!”
Annabelle writer Gary Dauberman will make his directorial debut.
John R. Leonetti directed the first movie, while David F. Sandberg directed the prequel, Annabelle: Creation.
This is a sequel to the Annabelle franchise, which is a spinoff from The Conjuring “cinematic universe.”
Annabelle Comes Home opened in theaters Wednesday, June 26th, 2019.

“Annabelle Comes Home” is the third installment of New Line Cinema’s hugely successful “Annabelle” films starring the infamous sinister doll from the “Conjuring” universe. Gary Dauberman, the screenwriter of the “Annabelle” films, “IT” and “The Nun,” makes his directorial debut on the film, which is produced by Peter Safran (“Aquaman”), who has produced all the films in the “Conjuring” franchise, and “Conjuring” universe creator James Wan (“Aquaman”).

Back in 2013, the James Wan-directed The Conjuring introduced us to the Warren family in a film based on true events. Warner Bros./New Line Cinema wants to remind audiences that the Annabelle doll is absolutely real, even though it was actually a Raggedy Ann.

Annabelle Comes Home, the third film in the Conjuring spinoff series, comes full circle. It brings viewers back to The Warren Artifact Room, a museum of horrors that house cursed and haunted artifacts. This museum actually exists and so do all of the Warrens.

Bloody Disgusting has a new featurette that features an interview with Judy Spera, the actual daughter of Ed and Lorraine. To this day, she’s been terrified of the doll. She also reveals that her parents offered her these two must-abide-by rules: “Don’t give it recognition” and “don’t look it in the eyes.”

Everyone’s favorite frightening doll is back, and we’re not talking about Chucky. We’re talking about Annabelle, the messed-up face of the Conjuring universe. According to critics, this creepy toy’s third spinoff movie, Annabelle Comes Home, looks like another big winner for the horror franchise. Congratulations, Annabelle!

With a full roster of spooky ghosts and a literal room full of references, Annabelle Comes Home is stuffed with small details as opposed to the original Annabelle doll, which is only stuffed with cotton. Or whatever old Raggedy Anne dolls were stuffed with. Fiberglass? Maybe that’s why everyone’s scared to touch it it’s devilishly itchy.

Call the babysitter, because we’re diving deep into all the small details in Annabelle Comes Home, and we’re conjuring up plenty of spoilers along the way.
