Nun, The (2018)

Unread post by Krappy » 2 years ago

When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of the same demonic nun that first terrorized audiences in “The Conjuring 2,” as the abbey becomes a horrific battleground between the living and the damned.

Filmed in Romania.
Originally had a July 13th 2018 release.
Charlotte Hope (HBO’s Game of Thrones) will play “Sister Victoria, a nun haunted by a demonic presence.”
Ingrid Bisu plays “Sister Oana.”
Jonas Bloquet (Elle) plays “a local villager Frenchie.”
Actress Bonnie Aarons returns as the demonic Nun.
Taissa Farmiga (FX’s American Horror Story) is set to star as “Sister Irene.”
Demian Bichir (The Hateful Eight, Alien: Covenant) is set to play “a priest named Father Burke who is dispatched by Rome to investigate a mysterious death of a nun.”
Corin Hardy (The Hallow) directs.
Ironically the demonic nun in Conjuring 2 was a last minute decision by director James Wan. Originally the antagonist was going to be some sort of demonic figure with horns, but Wan apparently had a revelation and brought his nun idea to the studio. After the studio approved it additional filming occured just a few months before the movie’s June release. There were other digital alterations to reflect the change.
James Wan will only return in a producing capacity.
The Conjuring 2 co-writer David Leslie Johnson scripted an early draft.
This is the second spinoff to come from The Conjuring films, the first was Annabelle.
This is a spin-off from The Conjuring 2, which featured the same demonic nun.
The Nun was released in theaters September 7, 2018.
The Nun is available on Blu-ray + DVD + Digital by Warner Bros on December 4, 2018.

Filmmaker James Wan, director of the record-setting horror hits “The Conjuring” and “The Conjuring 2,” explores another dark corner of that universe with “The Nun.” Directed by Corin Hardy (“The Hallow”), the new fright-fest is produced by Wan and by Peter Safran, who has produced all the films in “The Conjuring” franchise.

“The Nun” stars Oscar nominated Demian Bichir (“A Better Life”) as Father Burke, Taissa Farmiga (TV’s “American Horror Story”) as Sister Irene, and Jonas Bloquet (“Elle”) as local villager Frenchie.

The cast also includes Charlotte Hope (TV’s “Game of Thrones”) as the abbey’s Sister Victoria, Ingrid Bisu (“Toni Erdmann”) as Sister Oana, and Bonnie Aarons, reprising her “Conjuring 2” role as the title character.

Hardy directs “The Nun” from a screenplay by Gary Dauberman (“It”), story by James Wan & Gary Dauberman. Dauberman, Todd Williams and Michael Clear are the executive producers.

In This Video I Give My Full Movie Review For The 5th Film In The Conjuring Cinematic Universe “The Nun” (2018) Movie Review.

The NUN is ………….well…………ummm…………..maybe you should just check out our heavily Jump Scared review and see if you guys agree with our view of this movie………Play it loud for best viewing…….LOL.

When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of the same demonic nun that first terrorized audiences in ‘The Conjuring 2,’ as the abbey becomes a horrific battleground between the living and the damned.

Bloodbath and Beyond reviews the movie The Nun directed by Corin Hardy and starring Demián Bichir, Taissa Farmiga, Bonnie Aarons, and Jonas Bloquet.

The latest chapter in The Conjuring universe takes on Valak aka The Nun. Once again exploring minor characters and diving into their origins, the extended universe of The Conjuring tries its best to expand itself beyond the tales of The Warrens. Does The Nun have more success than Annabelle in its first outing?

On this Ending Explained, we’re diving into the latest entry in The Conjuring franchise, THE NUN where the demon Valak gets her own spin-off. Learn all about the origins of Valak, explaining the films story and ending, as well as how it connects to the greater Conjuring series universe.

Valak is the demon force and overarching dark presence in the conjuring franchise.
Though the demon is able to take many different forms, as he is a shapeshifter, it isn’t clear whether the forms he is able to take is finite or not. Due to his shapeshifting abilities, he has appeared in multiple movies in various different disguises.
Throughout the movies in the conjuring universe, the demon has appeared, to our knowledge, as the crooked man, the nun and an unseen force, power, in the first conjuring film.
